About Susan Knight

Twenty years ago, I had a necklace in mind that I wanted to create. I decided I could do it myself if someone would teach me the basics of silversmithing, and that’s how it started. I found a class at “The John Campbell Folk School “ in the mountains of North Carolina. I fell in love with everything about the Craft, the feel of silver, the texture you can create with different hammers, the intricate designs you can cut out of silver with a special saw and yes torching or playing with fire is not for everyone but if you stick to the safety guidelines you will find you can do that also.

I have a “Passion” for working with my hands, and this was perfect; I could create one-of-a-kind pieces for myself and my family. We are so fortunate to be surrounded by such great natural beauty. This is what inspires and keeps me grounded to create every day.

I hope you will enjoy seeing my jewelry as much as I enjoy making it.
